Who is Robert “Degle” Diggle:
A black belt under professor Brandon Bennet of the Renzo Gracie Academy and former Philosophy student. After graduating from the City University of New York Queens college instead of going to graduate school to attain his PhD in Philosophy as he originally planned he began pursuit of a professional grappling career as an instructor and competitor. While training full time in the blue basement of the Renzo Gracie Academy he became internationally recognized for his systematic and organized method of instruction. He has become one of the most sought after Jiu jitsu coaches in the world having taught in 20 countries on 3 different continents (North America, Asia & Europe).
A dual citizen of the United States of America and Italy, Robert has won numerous tournaments across three continents (North America, Europe, and Asia),with a total of 21 gold medals achieved in the Grappling Industries tournament series - the most ever won. He won the ADCC Sweden 66 kg tournament in May, 2022 with 4 heel hook wins and the ADCC Singapore 77 kg tournament on December 10, 2022 with 3 heel hooks wins. He earned a silver medal at the ADCC Thailand event held in Phuket on November 5, 2022 and a bronze medal at ADCC Serbia in Belgrade on June 18, 2022. In addition he has secured 8 expert division gold medals in the North American Grappling Association tournament series. He was the 77 kg. Cagliari, Italy based Honor Submission Challenge tournament winner with 3 lightning quick heel hook victories. He has competed on numerous Submission Only events across the globe including the Honor Submission Challenge, the RISE Invitational, Grapplefest, the Polaris Contenders, the Singapore Grappling Invitational and Fight2win.
